QA 360: De la Mindset de Hacker la Standarde de Calitate

Doua perspective esentiale pentru orice profesionist in QA.

Imi place sa colaborez cu oameni faini(who doesn’t?), sa testam limitele tehnologiei (si ale rabdarii AI-ului) si sa transformam bug-urile in lectii.

Beyond Bug Hunting: Cum definim idealul nostru in QA pe 10+ proiecte

Andrei Dobrin

🕐 20:10-21:30

Networking & follow-up discussions

What does quality mean when software starts thinking? From Correctness to Calibrated trust

AI systems do not always produce one predictable, objectively correct result. They can generate different but acceptable answers, remain useful while imperfect, and become risky not only when they are wrong, but when people do not know when to rely on them. This session challenges the traditional definition of software quality and explores how QA evolves from validating correctness to evaluating whether trust in a system is actually justified. Using an AI customer-support agent as a practical example, we will examine how uncertainty, autonomy, and consequence influence the level of assurance a product requires. We will distinguish trust from trustworthiness, explore why high user confidence can itself become a quality risk, and introduce the TRUST Contract - a practical framework for defining boundaries, safeguards, uncertainty behaviour, and human escalation. Perhaps we have never tested only software. We have always tested whether its promises deserve to be believed.

Community & Cognition: Keeping the QA mind sharp

As testing evolves with AI, our greatest assets remain deeply human: how we connect to learn and how we critically analyze systems. This edition of Tabăra de Testare focuses on two essential pillars of our profession: the power of community and preserving critical thinking. First, Mikko Paloheimo, QA Coach and co-organizer of the Finnish Testing Meetup Group, takes us behind the scenes of running a massive testing community. By bridging the Finnish and Romanian testing scenes, we’ll explore how communities keep testers learning and what we can adopt from each other. Then, Stefan Bratosin, Senior QA Engineer, challenges the current AI hype. While automation accelerates work, over-relying on predictive text systems can quietly erode a tester's most valuable tool: critical thinking. Stefan will dive into the "Black Box Effect" and introduce a practical framework to ensure AI remains just a tool, not a substitute for our analytical minds.
